What does “Formatter N” do?
It normalizes text: line endings, whitespace cleanup, blank-line collapsing, and optional line numbering.
Is this tool private?
Yes. Formatting runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Can I convert CRLF to LF (or LF to CRLF)?
Yes—pick the newline style in the Newlines dropdown and click Format.
Will it remove trailing whitespace?
Yes—keep Trim trailing spaces enabled to strip spaces/tabs at the end of lines.
How does “Max blank lines” work?

Can I add line numbers starting at a specific number?
Yes—enable Line numbers, set Start, and choose a separator (for example | or : ).
Does it change indentation structure?
It does not parse language syntax; it only converts tabs to spaces and cleans whitespace/newlines.
