FAQ

What is Title Case?

Title Case capitalizes most words while usually keeping short connector words (like “and”, “of”, “the”) in lowercase unless they’re first or last.

Does this tool upload my text?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser; the script does not send your text over the network.

Can I preserve acronyms like NASA or EU?

Yes—enable “Preserve ALL‑CAPS acronyms” to keep tokens that are already in all caps.

How are hyphenated words handled?

Hyphenated words are title-cased per segment, while common small words inside them can remain lowercase (for example: “State-of-the-Art”).

Does it capitalize after a colon?

Yes. When “Capitalize after colon” is enabled, the first word after “:” is treated like a new title start.

Why didn’t it turn “api” into “API”?

This tool preserves acronyms only when they’re already ALL CAPS. If you need expansions, type them as “API” in the input.

Can it convert multiple lines at once?

Yes. Each line is treated as its own title, which is useful for lists of headings.
