FAQ
Does this tool use the official Scrabble dictionary?
No—there’s no built-in official list or online lookup. Paste the word list you want to enforce into the Dictionary box.
How do I enter blank tiles?
Use ? or * in the rack (example: AEIRST?). Blanks score 0 for the letter(s) they replace.
Why does the score show “full” and a lower score?
“Full” is the normal tile sum; the lower score appears when the rack needs blanks to cover missing letters (those letters become 0 points).
Can it check multiple words at once?
Yes—enter one word per line (or paste text). The output prints one result line per detected word.
What characters are allowed in a word?
This checker treats valid words as A–Z letters only. Anything with punctuation, hyphens, or numbers is marked invalid.
Does it account for board bonuses (DL/TL/DW/TW) or crosswords?
No—this is a tile-score and rack-fit checker. Board placement bonuses and cross-check legality aren’t calculated.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The logic runs in your browser and does not fetch or upload anything.
