A PRACTICAL WORKFLOW
Step 1
Keep the original VCF as a backup. Choose primary email or phone matching. The first record wins; missing-key contacts remain and fields are not merged.
VCF Contact Deduplicator →Step 2
Export the retained contacts to CSV for inspection. This export includes names, email addresses, phone numbers and organizations, not photos or custom fields.
VCF to CSV Contacts →
Before you finish
Review the CSV before importing anywhere. Different country-code formats may not match, and shared email addresses can belong to different people.
Processing runs in your browser. Save outputs before leaving. Saved setups are optional and stored on this device; avoid saving sensitive data on shared computers.
All use cases →What you need
An exported VCF file and a separate untouched copy. Decide whether email or phone is the better identifier for your contacts.
Check the result
Compare the contact count before and after deduplication. Spot-check people with shared addresses, multiple phone numbers and accented names in the CSV.
If the result looks wrong
If distinct people disappear, return to the original export and use a different matching key. This process does not merge missing fields between duplicate records.
