How to use this tool

  1. Estimate sensible heat carried by an outdoor-air flow before and after heat recovery.
  2. Set outdoor air flow, air density, air specific heat, temperature difference, sensible recovery in the indicated units.
  3. Calculate and compare heat load without recovery, heat load after recovery.

Try this example

{
  "flow": 100,
  "density": 1.2,
  "cp": 1005,
  "delta": 20,
  "recovery": 80
}

Accuracy and scope

Steady sensible load only; excludes moisture, infiltration, fan power, frost and variable recovery performance.
