FAQ
Does this keep “9mm” and other numbers in the slug?
Yes—numbers are preserved, so terms like “9mm” stay intact (example: 9mm-ammo).
What does “&” → “and” do?
It replaces ampersands with the word “and” before slugging, which usually reads better and avoids dropping meaning.
Can I generate slugs for a list in one go?
Yes—enable Batch (each line) and paste one title per line to get one slug per line.
How are accents and diacritics handled?
Accents are stripped (example: “Crème brûlée” → creme-brulee) to keep URLs clean and consistent.
What are stopwords and when should I remove them?
Stopwords are common filler words like “the”, “of”, and “and”; removing them can shorten slugs, but may reduce clarity for some titles.
Is this tool private?
Yes—everything runs in your browser and the tool does not send your text anywhere.
Why did I get an empty slug?
Your input may contain only symbols (or everything was removed as stopwords). Try turning off stopword removal or adding letters/numbers.
