FAQ
Does this upload my PNG to a server?
No. The conversion runs locally in your browser and nothing is sent over the network.
Why does my transparent PNG look wrong after converting to JPG?
JPG doesn’t support transparency. Use Fill with background and choose a background color (often white).
How do I make the JPG smaller?
Lower the JPEG quality slider and/or set a smaller Max width/height to downscale.
Will it keep the same image dimensions?
Yes, unless you set Max width/height—then it will downscale while keeping aspect ratio.
Can I convert multiple PNGs at once?
Yes. Select multiple files (or drop multiple files) and the tool converts them sequentially to keep memory use low.
Is JPG the same as JPEG?
Yes. “.jpg” and “.jpeg” are the same format; “.jpg” is just a shorter extension.
Why is the output larger than the PNG?
PNG is lossless and can be smaller for flat graphics. JPG is usually smaller for photos; try lowering quality for better compression.
