How to use this tool

  1. Upload a PDF and enter a password containing at least eight characters.
  2. Run password protection and download the encrypted PDF.
  3. Close the file, reopen it and confirm the password is required. Store the password separately.

Try this example

Protect a disposable one-page PDF with a test password of at least eight characters, then verify that reopening requires that password.

Accuracy and scope

Server processing; maximum 300 pages. Uses AES-256 encryption. For an already encrypted input, the supplied password must first open that document. Password recovery and distinct owner/user permission controls are not provided. Editing can invalidate signatures.

Is my data uploaded?

This tool uploads your supplied input to the FeuTex processing server. Input and output files are temporary and expire after 15 minutes.
