FAQ

How do I convert a cron expression?

Paste a cron expression (5 fields or 6 fields with seconds) into the input and click Run. The output includes a normalized cron and a readable description.

Can I copy the conversion results?

Yes. Click Copy to copy the currently displayed output (Text, JSON, or CSV). If your browser blocks clipboard access, you can manually select and copy from the output panel.

Can I download the results?

Yes. Choose a download format (TXT/JSON/CSV) and click Download. The tool generates a file locally in your browser.

Does it support batch processing?

Yes. Enter one cron expression per line. The tool validates and converts each line and reports line-specific diagnostics.

What diagnostics do I get for invalid cron?

Diagnostics include the line number, which field failed (minute/hour/day-of-month/month/day-of-week/second), what was wrong (e.g., out of range or invalid characters), and a concrete hint to fix it.

How does the tool handle very large inputs?

Large inputs are processed in chunks (yielding back to the browser between chunks) to keep the page responsive. You can also cap processing with Max errors to stop early on noisy inputs.

What cron syntax is supported?

The validator supports standard cron patterns: *, lists (a,b), ranges (a-b), and steps (*/n or a-b/n). Quartz-only tokens like L, W, #, and ? are reported as unsupported with a hint.
