FAQ
What does this Amazon profit calculator include?
It includes referral fee %, fulfillment (FBA/FBM), storage, closing fee, ads/PPC, COGS, inbound/prep, and an “other” cost line—then calculates profit, margin, ROI, and break-even.
Does it include sales tax or VAT?
No. If you need to account for taxes, add them as an extra per-unit cost (e.g., in “Other”).
How do I estimate the referral fee?
Use the category referral percentage you expect and enter it in “Referral fee (%)”. The tool calculates it as a percent of sale price.
What’s the difference between profit margin and ROI here?
Margin is profit ÷ sale price. ROI is profit ÷ total expenses (all costs plus referral fee at that price).
How is break-even sale price calculated?
Break-even is the price where profit becomes zero, factoring in the referral fee percentage: fixed costs ÷ (1 − referral%).
Can I use this for FBM instead of FBA?
Yes—enter your FBM pick/pack/shipping cost in “Fulfillment fee” (or “Other”) and leave FBA-related lines at 0.
How should I include PPC or returns?
Add average PPC spend per unit in “Ads / PPC cost” and any expected return/defect cost in “Other cost”.
