FAQ
Is this sitemap generator really offline?
Yes. It builds the XML in your browser and does not fetch or crawl any pages.
Can I paste relative paths like /about?
Yes—set a Base URL (e.g., https://example.com) and the tool will resolve paths into full URLs.
Does it remove duplicates?
Yes, enable Dedupe URLs to keep only the first occurrence of each normalized URL.
Should I include query parameters in my sitemap?
Usually no. If query URLs aren’t canonical, enable Strip query strings to keep cleaner sitemap URLs.
What about lastmod, changefreq, and priority?
You can add them site-wide, but they’re optional. If you’re unsure, omit them or use lastmod only.
How many URLs can I generate in one sitemap?
The standard limit is 50,000 URLs per sitemap file. If you exceed it, split your list and generate multiple sitemaps.
How do I validate the sitemap output?
Check that the XML is well-formed and URLs are correct, then submit it in Google Search Console for processing feedback.
